    Hi Bel,

Just wondering do you feel that you get value for your money by being a member of Simple Savings? What do you find most useful? Can you tell I’m thinking about joining?

    cheers Kate

    Hi Kate!

I think that by visiting the forum often and making small changes, one at a time, that’s the value in it for me. Seeing new recipes, new cleaning tips, money stretching tips, inspiration for making-do, gardening ideas, bargains and freebies online and so on, regularly, keeps me in the SS mindset. It also encourages my organisational side to shine, sharing with others who menu plan and so on.

I use the vault if considering major purchases or looking for advice on, say, cutting down my phone or power or insurance expenses.

I think my family would say the best part of it is the recipes! :p

Now it’s only $17 a year to rejoin, which is really nothing over the course of the year, compared to what I save by visiting the site regularly.

    Hope that helps? - Bel

Thanks Bel for such a quick reply. Think I might take the plunge then and see if I can find it useful, recipes are my weakness so that is tempting me. I guess I can take up their money back offer if it doesn’t meet my expectations.

    cheers Kate

    Kate,

I’ll second what Bel says - it’s great value if you visit the forum regularly. As well as all of the great recipes and ideas, it’s the inspiration and the interaction with like-minded people that I get the most from.

Ah, never knew they had a guarantee! That’s great! I’ve been a member for a few years now and it has made a real difference in the way I think about spending.

Forgot to mention that there’s tons of good advice on there about savings, loans, budgets etc. When we bought the farm we got a new type of loan (for us) and I asked on the forum about others’ experiences and ideas and it really helped us manage the debt properly.

    Hope you enjoy the site.
