Menu Week Starting 13th October 12 October, 2008
Last week’s menu went really well. Everything went really well except the baking. Instead of what we’d planned, Immi made two cakes and Abby made carob balls. I’m glad we’re not eating camping food every day…
From the garden we still have beans, broad beans, a little broccoli, lettuce, cherry tomatoes and a few large tomatoes, cabbages, herbs, sweet potatoes, chokos, silverbeet, celery and herbs. There are raspberries and the fruit of the malay malay (millaa vine) on the edges of the forest. We have plenty of eggs too.This week we have some Dutch WWOOFers staying, so we’re cooking for ten again!
Monday: fish & salad
Tuesday: spaghetti with tomato-based sauce
Wednesday: mushroom risotto & vegetables
Thursday: vegetable curry & rice
Friday: tuna patties & salad
Saturday: enchiladas
Sunday: roast vegetables with steamed vegies or salads
Baking & Prep: Honey Oat Cookies (fifth try…)
