This hommus is so tasty and also easy to make. It freezes well. We eat hommus with falafel and also as a dip or on salad sandwiches.

1 x 400g tin chickpeas

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup tahini

1/3 cup olive oil

juice of 1/2 large lemon

dash sea salt

2 tsp crushed garlic

Blend garlic, chickpeas & tahini with stick mixer. Add water gradually. Add lemon juice alternately with oil. Blend until smooth. Add salt to taste.

  1. Gee, you just keep tempting me with all these yummy recipes. I’ll have to give one a try as well. I made hummus once before but it wasn’t as nice as the organic one that I buy.

  2. I use the hulled Tahini, the paler coloured one, Libby. Don’t know if that makes a difference? It’s a smooth and tasty version of hommus though, give it a go!

  3. I made it and it is delicious!

I didn’t have quite as much tahini left as I thought so I padded it out with some peanut butter and it’s great!
