Ooops! I’m late with this post - a whole week late!
AT HOME: Oh, my gosh, we finished our new room! And one busy weekend in June we moved all of the furniture in there, including three tall bookcases, four desks (two huge!), a cupboard, two computers, a little table for Lily’s desk, three [...]

Last week’s menu went to plan. I froze some curry for another night, and some pasta sauce for this week. I didn’t get to freeze vegie soup as the girls ate the leftovers when we went out on Saturday night.
Eating out for our birthdays was delicious. It’s something we rarely do, but [...]

The menu last week went well and our WWOOFer enjoyed learning to cook simple, nutritious meals, and eating them!

Now my Mum is visiting, but our WWOOFer has left, so we’re feeding 3 adults and 6 children.
From roadside stalls we still have fresh potatoes and plenty of onions, and some yummy avocados.
From the markets we have [...]

“Why do people take or keep their children out of school? I’ve long been interested in the philosophy of education. When studying education at university in the early 1990s, my favourite lectures and assignment were about Paolo Freire (“Education is [...]
