November was a huge month. We sold our house, found a rental and moved - all within 1.5 weeks. No mean feat when there are eight of us! We barely slept during those last days, it was madness!
AT HOME: It has been exciting settling into our new home. It is a huge two storey Queenslander on acreage in a forest area outside Atherton, Queensland. There are some beautiful spots nearby to play and it still feels a little like we are on holidays!
We’ve been blessed to have enormous help from our friends in both towns with moving. It’s been made 100 times easier with their many hands and generous offers of time. Thank you all!!

I am still working on the pages for Rhonda’s book. Since the task has increased a little she’s extended my deadline. Phew!

IN THE GARDEN: I was a little sad to leave behind all the first fruit on my young trees and lots of plants and herbs in the gardens. It was a real treat, however to discover that this property has a large mixed orchard as well as loads of mangoes and bananas planted in various spots. There is an unused garden and we’re already planning a few basic things to plant around the place. We also cleaned out and repaired a small pond/water feature, adding gold fish and flowers to brighten the entrance a little.
HOME ED.: We’ve not done any formal work throughout the move, but the children have been very busy with packing, reading, fixing up the computers, art, bush walks, going to the theatre and seeing local attractions. They’ve loved seeing their home ed. friends as well.
