The Freecycle Network™ is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It’s a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer. Membership is free. See:

February 2007 News 2 February, 2007

January was a month of highs and lows. We found a new home to which we’ll be moving in March. It’s a lovely balance of rainforest and pasture and beside a very special river in the hills.
On a sadder note, we lost a dear friend. One who will be remembered for her colourful character, good humour, strong spirit and sense of fun. I feel blessed as I remember her wisdom and smile; and remember the conversations we shared, the times we spent together and the sound of her tin whistle…
